$77 Million sent OS from Australia
by why144000 inpoor watchtower in australia, they made a loss of $1,537,325 in 2019 according to their filings with the government.
they obviously can't participate in the national redress scheme as they don't have the funds.
only problem is that they have sent over $77,000,000 of donations from australian publishers to overseas branches in the past 4 years.

Expectation vs Reality
by joey jojo in.
just wanted to put this out there for any lurkers.. as someone that grew up during the 70s and 80s, we were promised that we would be in the first picture long ago.
if you are still on the fence, please let this sink in for a while..

To me, instead of the insane overlapping generation explanation, (my opinion) they would have done better with addressing the issue face on saying, "1914 was an error, we will not teach that anymore, however, we feel we are close to the end". "We have a wonderful brotherhood to move forward with and we feel that God's blessings are with us and are demonstrated in our brotherhood." There will be some changes, no preaching, no book studies, one assembly a year. God gave us the earth to inherit so learn about what God has given us and travel. In addition, no judicial meetings or disfellowshipping. Oh, and beards? If you have been blessed with a beard, you may grow it.

How far is this idiocy going to go?
by BoogerMan inhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-53201667.
the simpsons team - because of criticism over white actor hank azaria's voiceover of indian-american character apu - is terminating the caricature.
people claimed that it "reinforced racial stereotypes.".

I recently read that they are wanting to change the name of John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California because of a 1971 interview with Playboy. (I only read Playboy for the Articles)
John Wayne is quoted as saying, “With a lot of Blacks, there’s quite a bit of resentment, along with their dissent, and possibly rightfully so,” he said. “But we can’t all of a sudden get down on our knees and turn everything over to the leadership of the Blacks. I believe in white supremacy until the Blacks are educated to a point of responsibility.”
He continued, “I don’t believe in giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people. … I don’t feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from the Indians. Our so-called stealing of this country from them was just a matter of survival. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.”

The bars around here in Georgia, South and North Carolina have the bar stools separated by 6+ feet. Two chairs together if you come in together but No to sitting close to a stranger. I've thought about going but I can sit at home and drink by myself pick my guitar and piano, watch a movie, etc and not have to worry about getting sick. A friend of mine contracted Covid-19 and she said that she was glad she wasn't any older, the first week was hell. I've been out for dinner a few times and there are some jerks that just don't know how to stay arm lengths away from you let alone 6 feet away. Coughing, choking spewing their breath everywhere, if they cover their mouth with their hand then the hand goes to touch the bar without being cleaned and laugh about it. Forget that.

Covid19 "Suggestions" (aka rules)
by Huxley1979 inso a co just said in his talk yesterday that anyone that doesn't follow the branch's covid19 "suggestions" is disobedient and the type of person that won't survive armageddon.
didn't the letter say that each head of household would choose for himself how to apply the "suggestions"?.
the funny thing is there are other countries where none of these "suggestions" have been given..

Moses communicated directly with God. GB? Not so much proof and too much information that indicates other wise. But, Noah drank wine and got drunk and then took his clothes off. I cant remember if he did that first or built an alter. But, if you get drunk and take your clothes off Do Not tune into the meetings on Zoom.

JW.ORG delivering food to JWs in California
by NikL inso a couple of weeks ago my wife (who is an active jw) got a delivery of apples, oranges, potatoes, carrots and onions.. the story i heard was that the "branch bought a bunch of food that would go to waste and was delivering it".. i am in california and a friend of mine in another cong.
50 or so miles away had the same thing happen.. a few days ago we got another delivery and as a matter of fact my wife was asked if she could "help jehovah with delivering his gifts".
unfortunately she is in poor health and unable to so so.. anyway, the story seems fabricated to me and i am wondering what is really going on.. does anybody have any ideas?

WT is rationalizing using food intended for food banks: Those worldly people are about to die anyway at harmeggedon so what is a few meals going to hurt them?

Huxley, I'm glad you asked that, as it is a great question. The inner turmoil when we as Jehovah's Witnesses start to use our God given thinking abilities without consulting the indoctrination we have had.
It all boils down to this simple thing: Either you believe that the current and past members of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses are "God's official and only communication channel to all mankind" or you don't.
